Thank you to all the people that sent me good wishes for my son's wedding. It is today, May 1^st at 1 pm so I sent this out first thing this morning. A big thank you to those that sent in suggestions for this issue of the newsletter. With my son's wedding and 2 coworkers weddings this month I have been very busy. They were a big help.

As you can see below, I really enjoy Martha's (aka - StarGazer) site. I have found links here that I wasn't able to find anywhere else. She deserves a big hand for the information she provides on her site.

Finishing, Blocking, Starching and Shaping:

The first suggestion I received was asking for information on blocking and finishing the items we make. I found a great site with links to this information.

Crochet Instructions

There were several people asking for information on how to use a cro hook, afghan hook, do broom stick lace, joining squares and pieces, crocheting with beads, left handed crocheting and learning to knit and crochet. Well, I found a site with links to all of this information.

Children's Patterns in Knit and Crochet

I had several ask for patterns that they can use to make items for babies and children in hospitals. Care Wear Volunteers is a site that has patterns and lists of hospitals that you can donate to if you don't have one near you.

Measurements Information

Another lady asked for information on haw to do body measurements for garments (back width, arm measurements) This site has the follow charts and information:

3 Free Patterns

This months free patterns are for a Watermelon Table Set. It includes a coaster, napkin ring and a can cosy to keep your pop cold. I plan on adding to this set during the month so check back to my site for the rest of the set. I am hoping to have a placemat, potholder, and a dishcloth. I also have a watermelon notepad holder.
