Materials:
G Hook
Scraps of knitting worsted - A color B color
Pipe cleaners or black yarn for body and feelers
Ch 5 and join to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 2 dc in circle; ch 1, *3 dc, ch 1 in circle*. Repeat from * until you have 8 sets. Join in top ch of beginning ch 3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in ch 1 by joining. * 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch 1 space*. Repeat * around until you get to beginning. Do 3 dc, ch 1 in start ch area. Join to top and end color.
Rnd 3: Color B. Ch 3, 4 dc in ch 1 sp. *1 sc in next ch 1 space, 10 dc in next ch 1 sp*. Repeat from * around until you get to 4 dc space and do 5 dc in that space. Join and end color.
Rnd 4: Color A. Ch 1 and sc in each space around. Join at end of rnd and end yarn.
Body and antennae: Fold pipe cleaner around body and twist at top for antennae or ch with black yarn. Fold around body and tie at top for antennae.
Hot glue a strong magnet to the back for a fridge magnet. Use a wooden skewer to attach to a pony tail by sticking through one side of butterfly, through the ponytail and out the other side of the butterfly. Use a small steel hook and knit-cro-sheen for a butterfly small enough for a barrette.
