Zerma's May Flower Coaster

I named this coaster after my grandmother Zerma Herbert.
It reminds me of all the beautiful flowers in her garden.

Materials:
Size H crochet hook
Assorted colors of worsted weight cotton yarn

With Color A
Rnd 1: Ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook; join with a sl st in top of beginning ch.

Rnd 2: Ch 2, (dc, trc, dc) in next dc, ch 2, *sl st in next dc, ch 2, (dc, trc, dc) in next dc,
ch 2; repeat around. Join with a sl st in base of beginning ch 2. Fasten off.

Rnd 3: Join Color B with a sl st in any trc of previous rnd. Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 3, (skip dc and ch 2) dc in sl st of previous rnd, ch 3, (skip ch 2 and dc) sc in trc of previous rnd. Repeat around; end with a sl st in beginning sc.

Rnd 4: Sl st in next ch 3 space. Ch 1, *3 sc in ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat around, join with a sl st in top of 1st sc.

Rnd 5: Sl st to next ch 1 space. Ch 1, sc in same space, skip next 3 sc, 7 dc in next ch 1 space, *skip next 3 sc, sc in next ch 1 space, skip next 3 sc, 7 dc in next ch 1 space; repeat around ending with a sl st in top of 1st sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Optional: You can do this coaster in different colors such as yellow for rnd 1, purple for rows 2 and 3 and green for rows 4 and 5 to get a violet flower coaster.
